Imagine a cottage garden – the kind that might look at first glance as being a little bit un-kept – where nature has been allowed to ramble, self-seed and do its own thing a bit. Not too fussy. A relaxed affair that invites you to relax too – take it easy. Add to that a warm sunny afternoon and give yourself permission to stay a while. A gentle breeze wafts the perfume from the flowers. The warm glow of the light makes the colors both soft yet bright.

Sunny Afternoon
Sunny Afternoon invites you to day-dream and stay for a while in that warm fuzzy space that comes when we are somewhere that is really comfortable. Not a care in the world. Just enjoying the present. Happy thoughts.
Once upon a time I used to tend to a garden just like this in Scotland. ‘Sunny Afternoon’ takes me back there in an instant. It was always a great joy to receive plants or bulbs as birthday gifts. A present that would bring years of pleasure for me and those who come after me. For those who walk in the footsteps I once trod, sit in the spots where I once sat and care for the plants I once nurtured. We never know how what we do today might affect others and in turn the people in their lives.
